Internships

  • Professional immersion at every stage of the Bachelor’s program
At ILERI, we consider professional experience an essential complement to academic training. That’s why internships are mandatory each year of the Bachelor’s program, allowing students to apply their theoretical knowledge and prepare effectively for their future careers.
  • Year 1: Discovery Internship
Duration: Minimum 4 weeks
In the first year, students participate in a discovery internship, providing their first professional exposure. This initial experience helps students understand organizational structures and gain valuable insights into the professional world.
  • Year 2: Operational Internship
Duration: Minimum 6 weeks
In the second year, students undertake an execution internship, directly related to international relations and political science. This hands-on experience allows students to take on real responsibilities and actively contribute to an organization’s work.
  • Year 3: Specialisation Internship
Duration: Minimum 8 weeks
The final year includes an advanced internship, which builds upon prior experience. Students take on greater responsibilities and engage in complex missions, ensuring optimal preparation for entering the job market or continuing studies in a graduate program.

Our students share their experiences

"I had the opportunity and honor of completing my second-year internship at the Senate. This highly rewarding experience allowed me to work alongside a committed senator and strengthened my desire to work for the public good. I was responsible for various pieces of legislation and was able to learn about the many facets of the job of a parliamentary assistant. It was an extraordinary experience that I highly recommend!"

"I did an internship in Moscow at the European Space Agency's office in Russia at the end of my third year, and I did my final internship at Airbus Defence and Space in the Export Control department. I then found a job as a space consultant at PWC. The team I work in carries out studies for the European Commission to optimize EU investments in the European space sector. Together with experts, we try to address issues relating to the European internal market, how to stimulate demand, create a competitive sector, etc."
