Master’s Degree in International Relations and Digital Geopolitics

The first year of the second cycle is common to all second cycle programs.

It trains high-performing executives by providing them with in-depth knowledge of law, political science, geopolitics, economics, and languages, integrating a French, European, and international perspective, while developing skills in analysis, communication, international development project management, diplomacy, crisis management, security and defense, cybersecurity, and economic intelligence.

This program of excellence aims to offer comprehensive and diverse training, including:

• Law: Space law, administrative law, and the law of war.
• Political science and geopolitics: Influential communication and geopolitics, the geopolitics of natural resources, foreign policy and diplomacy, strategy, and defense.
• Economics: Financial markets and circuits.
• Languages: LV1 English, LV2 European language, LV3 Oriental language.
• Professionalization: Career support, ILERI conferences, operational management, cybersecurity and cyber security, strategic monitoring, internship.

The second year of the MSc in International Relations and Cyberspace at ILERI focuses on developing skills in strategic analysis of cyberspace and crisis management. It covers key topics such as cyber defense, the fight against cybercrime, international risk management, and strategic intelligence. This year aims to train professionals capable of navigating complex technological and strategic environments, while mastering the legislative and ethical issues related to cyberspace.  
 

The MSc program is structured around four areas :

• Strategic analysis of cyberspace and international relations: understanding the geopolitical and geostrategic issues related to cyberspace. Students learn to assess the impact of international dynamics on digital security and relations between states and organizations. They will study the geopolitics of cyberspace, as well as disinformation and propaganda in cyberspace.
• Cyber defense and international crisis management: Students develop skills to anticipate and respond to cyber threats, while mastering crisis management in a global context. They learn to develop defense strategies against cyberattacks and respond to complex crisis situations.  They will be able to study cyber threat intelligence or conduct crisis management simulations. 
• Data security and legal protection in cyberspace: this area covers data confidentiality and security management, as well as the legal regulations surrounding information protection in the digital world. In this context, students will be able to study personal data protection and security, as well as cyberspace standards and regulations.
• Information management and international business development: This track allows students to acquire the skills to lead international projects and influence public policy through information management and lobbying strategies in the digital sector. Students will be able to take courses in public affairs and lobbying, as well as international economic and strategic intelligence.

• Set 1: Design and manage a continuous strategic monitoring system for economic, political, and diplomatic intelligence in an international context.
• Set 2: Analyze international strategic relationships and opportunities.
• Set 3: Anticipate crisis situations and diplomatic tensions at the national and international levels.
• Set 4: Lead international development projects.
• Block 5: Develop a cybersecurity strategy (specialization)

To obtain the diploma, it is necessary to validate all the skill blocks required for certification.

This program will give you a deep understanding of the risks and challenges associated with cyberspace on a global scale. You will develop a unique ability to analyze and assess global threats, while anticipating the geopolitical and economic trends that influence international digital security.

By participating in legislative and strategic discussions, you will be trained to master the essential tools of cyber monitoring and crisis management. You will learn how to secure complex digital environments while participating in the decision-making and legislative processes that shape global cybersecurity.

During your semester abroad, you will take courses that will be fully recognized by ILERI. At the end of this period, you will earn 30 ECTS credits, ensuring the continuity of your academic career without delay.

Several real-world scenarios are incorporated throughout the year, including crisis management exercises and internationalization projects.

To be admitted to this program, the following academic prerequisites are required:

First :  year: Validated bachelor's degree or 180 validated ECTS credits

2nd year: Validated master's degree or 240 validated ECTS credits

To enroll in the MSc in International Relations and Cyberspace, in the first or second year, you must submit an application.

Once your application has been accepted, you will be eligible to take the entrance exam, which consists of a written test and an oral test.

• Admission validation period after the exam: 10 days.
• Access to training after admission validation: between 10 days and 11 months depending on the date of the exam taken.

  First year for ILERI Bachelor's degree graduates: €9,400

Net price excluding VAT if 100% self-funded. In all other cases (e.g., CPF, Pôle Emploi, company, region, etc.), the price will be subject to VAT (20%).  

*Additional fees may apply for foreign universities as part of a Study Abroad program for a semester abroad.

Work-study programs are available in the second year of the second cycle.

• Entrance exam fees are waived.
• 2nd year: €10,600

Work-study program fees (apprenticeship contract or professional training contract) are covered by the company and its OPCO (joint commission for collective training).

Students at the Paris and Lyon campuses are eligible for CROUS scholarships.

Aware of the current economic challenges facing parents and students, ILERI is actively committed to facilitating access to higher education by strengthening its scholarship program. Each campus offers merit-based scholarships for students who are not eligible for CROUS scholarships, thus ensuring appropriate and equitable financial support.
